Trip for a Lifetime: Day 36 Pray Scripture

The scripture below is very special to me. A friend sent it to me at a time when my whole life was in turmoil. Just as Paul was lifting up the church in Ephesus my friend was praying the word of God over me. At the time I was desperate for direction. Longing for clarity. Searching for a glimmer of hope. When I began to focus on what was being prayed in each line my faith began to increase.

First someone was placing my situation before the King of Kings. Even when i was having a hard time of praying, a brother was doing so for me. Also the prayer reminds me I’m not in this alone. The creator of the universe was on my side. He would fight the battle if I would let him. His love for me was immeasurable. I was fighting the battle with limited resources. His resources were limitless.

When I learned the value of going to God first before I became overwhelmed. My stress levels went way down. Even when I couldn’t see it He was working. The scripture “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” became a reality. I had become paralyzed. I had become numb to everything around me. I was so confused I had forgotten who I was. I could see different now when I put my “Son” glasses on. Now I know that my circumstances, my trials, and my failures are not subject to my abilities, but they are subject to the power in the name of Jesus. They are covered by the blood of the Lamb.


“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”


My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Blood and righteousness.
