Trip for a Lifetime: Day 35 Armed with Wisdom

The next scripture, I use many times to encourage those who I’m close to. Paul was praying for his brothers and sisters in Ephesus. Many times we all need encouragement to be lifted up so we might overcome the trial we are going through. This trip we are on has challenged every part of who we are. It has challenged us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We need the power of our guide to get us through. Every time I get one part of my life under control chaos breaks out somewhere else. One day it might be my peace, the next my faith. If not those, I’ve lost my patience. If we let ourselves go down one of these roads for very long it becomes much harder to get them under control. Lord, help me recognize every fiery dart of the enemy. I think that for me at this time it’s better to not only put on the armor of God but to continue to remind myself what each part is for. Lord, by your Spirit I ask for wisdom and discernment. Lord, bless those I call brothers and sisters and you call sons and daughters.

“For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.
The same power that raised Christ for the dead lives in me.
