Trip for a Lifetime: Day 28 Changes

See, I am doing a new thing. Now, it springs up. Do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

My wife and I were taking a drive today to get out of the house. We went places we hadn’t been in a long time. There were many things that had changed. Some of them were surprising to me. Most of them I thought were going to be nice and others probably would not be.

I know that the LORD has allowed this pandemic to change the world. Life will probably be different from here on. I’m sure He wants His people to turn to Him. I’m sure He would love for people to be in one accord all over the world. There are some things I can tell are changing for the betterment of mankind. With the information I have been receiving, it seems more and more are seeking God.

Most of what happens in the world, I can do nothing about but pray that the will of God will be done. But what about changes in me? Over the next few days I am going to evaluate the changes in my life. Some are going to be nice, some I am not going to like. There are others that I may have to live with, like security in airports after 9-11. Last, I want to evaluate the ones that need to continue. The ones that need to be a priority.

There are many things I can hold on to when it comes to God. I know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). I know His love for me never fails. I know He will never leave me or forsake me. There is one thing I can depend on—God is dependable.

He is the Alpha and Omega—the beginning and the end. Revelations 22:13
