Trip for a Lifetime: Day 20 Declare Truth

When I am taking a long drive, many times I so enjoy the time I spend with my guide. (Holy Spirit) In fact, I look forward to the time we get to spend together. Most of the times I have very little distractions going on. I long to find out more about my best friend, Jesus. I anxiously await the conversations we are going to have. During the trip I begin to find out more about who He is in me and who I am in Him.

There are times that I have been facing many trials or I have gotten lost in this fast-paced lifestyle. The enemy has been doing his best to kill, steal and destroy. Sometimes my faith has been challenged to a point of being only head knowledge. The disconnect between my head and heart is very evident. If I am not careful I fall into the trap of asking “Why?” I get struck on this merry-go-round and go from melancholy to depression very quickly.

This trip we are on now can tend to get anyone into this way of thinking when all you hear is “Danger!” “Danger!” “Danger!” from every direction. It is no wonder we can lose hope and even begin to wonder “Does God not see what is going on?”. I assure you that He is not falling down on His job. He has one thing in mind, and that is to reconcile His family to himself.

Over the last few years I have learned that one way I can come against the enemy is to speak declarations. Our tongue has the power of life and death. If all we put into our heads is the negative report of the world, there is no wonder we have a disconnect between our head and our heart..

Over the next 5 days I am going to list 10 declarations a day. I have about 50 that I use. They come from scripture verses, songs and what I know in my heart is true. I have done this many times as I drive. I believe they are essential to use on this journey we are on.

Declare these over yourself (Out loud would be best). Grab hold of the ones you need most.

DECLARATIONS of TRUTH
  • On Christ the solid rock I stand

  • All other ground is sinking sand

  • You are the Way, the Truth and the Life

  • Greater is He that is in me than he who that is in the world

  • God has not given me a spirit of fear.

  • I trust in Your blood. I trust in Your name. I trust in the cross.

  • With You my problems become possibilities

  • My trials become triumphs

  • You have turned my sadness to gladness and my mourning to dancing

  • Nothing I desire compares with you, God.

  • You are an awesome God

  • There is something about Your name.

  • You are the one who chased me

  • You know my going out and coming in.
